Antrak Air starts flight services on Aug. 6

After about two months of being grounded, Antrak Air is resuming its domestic flight services on Monday August 6.

This was disclosed to Citi Business News by the Chief Commercial Officer of the airline, Kweku Antwi Boasiako who indicated that a new aircraft has been acquired for this purpose.

He said another aircraft is expected by the end of this month to compliment its services as it plans to increase its domestic routes.

Antrak Air which has been in service since 2003 was grounded on May 22 this year after a technical fault was detected in one of its aircrafts meant to fly passengers from Tamale to Accra.

Mr. Antwi Boasiako told Citi Business News top on the priority of Antrak Air is the issue of safety hence their acquisition of the new aircrafts which would start operations on Monday.

He said were pleased to announce to our cherished customers that from Monday the sixth of August were resuming operations with a very young aircraft and very comfortable.

Its a 68 seater capacity, ATR-72-500 series, manufactured in 2008 and its just under four years old. By the end of the month, wed bring a second one to make sure that we are providing customers with safe reliable and comfortable service and affordable.

Our fares have always been the lowest and were going to continue to offer the lowest fares in spite of the fact that were giving them a much more comfortable and young aircraft that provides them with high safety and reliability."
