Airtel customers to grab BMWs and more

Airtel Ghana has launched another consumer loyalty promotion: dubbed Supa Star to give away lots of goodies including wining three BMW cars.

Existing Airtel customers and new ones stand a fair chance to win any of the three BMWs as well as other packages such as Samsung S4 phones, shopping vouchers, cash, and airtime in the three-month promotion.

Supa Star, which gives equal chance for all customers to win daily and Weekly prizes, is run on the Merlin Games platform in conjunction with the National Lotteries Authority.

Managing Director of Airtel Ghana, Philip Sowah in launching the promo on Friday said: “the Supa Star promotion is designed to allow everyone who owns an Airtel SIM card to have a chance to win any of the three BMWs, 30 Samsung S4 phones, trips to Brazil in 2014, cash, shopping vouchers and thousands of cedis in airtime. Overall there is over GH¢650,000 worth of prizes in this promotion”.

“It is important for us as Airtel that, just as we continuously work to improve our network, increase our coverage even wider, strengthen our Airtel Money platform, we are also mindful of the fact that our customers look forward to receiving and winning goodies such as what we are offering them now,” Mr. Sowah said.

According to him, Airtel Ghana would continue to be responsive to the customer by rolling out various services and promotions that were designed to meet their desires and expectations.

Airtel Ghana’s Marketing Director, Ashish Malhotra in explaining the dynamics of the promotion, said customers accrued points when they used a minimum of 50 pesewas daily. They also gain points by recharging more than GH¢2.00.

Points are garnered via Voice, SMS and Data usage.

According to Mr. Malhotra, airtime load referred to recharge cards, Easy Recharge and Airtel Money.

He said customers would be sent their points accrued daily and have the option of opting out of the daily SMS.

The Short code *450# would be used for customers to query their accrued points. Winners would be declared weekly, with a customer winning a BMW at the end of each month. The promo runs for three months.
