Airtel Ghana has launched Ghana’s first daily value voucher recharge card dubbed ‘Buddie Pack’, to offer subscribers cheaper rates to keep in touch with other Airtel customers within the same day the voucher is loaded.
The company said in a statement that the new product was part of its commitment to offer innovative products that are relevant to its subscribers.
The Buddie Pack package comes to add to other innovative products such as SmartZone, Facebook Zero, 5X Obolobo and the award-winning Airtel Money, to which Airtel keeps adding merchants.
Marketing Director of Airtel Ghana, Oare Ojeikere was quoted as saying ‘Buddie Pack’ comes in 50gp and 20gp recharge vouchers, each offering the customer with a bundle of voice minutes and SMS valid for only Airtel-to-Airtel use and valid till midnight same day.
He said the 50gp coupon offers 15 minutes airtime and 150 SMS, and the 20gp offers five minutes airtime and 50 SMS.
“These special rates have been put out there in response to customer needs”, Mr. Ojeikere said. “We are the first telco to introduce this sort of offer in Ghana and it only goes to give further credence to our determination to be innovative whiles meeting our customers’ expectations.”
Meanwhile, Airtel Ghana has also rolled out what it calls ‘Super Saver’, which the offers two packs at GHC7 and GHC2, and gives subscribers Airtel-to-Airtel voice calls of up to 1,000 and 150 minutes respectively.
Head of Corporate Communications and External Affairs of Airtel Ghana, Donald Gwira says Airtel Ghana has positioned itself as “a telco which listens to the market and draws up products targeted at enriching the lives of her subscribers”.
According to him, Airtel does not only want to keep its current subscribers happy, but to win over new ones to sample the wide variety of products designed for the various subscriber base.
Customers can enjoy both the Buddie Pack and Super Saver offers by purchasing the recharge vouchers or by accessing the USSD *335# to selecting their preferred offer.
