Innovative EPS Limited (IEPS), a company registered in Ghana, has launched its commercial operations with a state-of-the-art payment gateway technology.

IEPS, which has a large data warehouse, is currently connected with the nation’s leading telecommunication companies such as Scancom (MTN), Airtel, Vodafone, Glo, Tigo and Expresso to promote their prepaid sales through an electronic platform.

A statement issued by the company said IEPS will assist service providers to alleviate current challenges and improve their operational efficiency.

“The company’s technology platform is unique and flexible, making it possible to integrate almost every service provider and thereby provide direct access to their customers who want to pay them for availing their various services,” the statement added.

It further stated that IEPS also intends to bring major utility services on board: such as Electricity Company of Ghana, Ghana Water, DSTV and any business that would want to have an effective way of collecting cash and reaching out to its customers on a 24/7 basis.

Other companies that can take advantage of this innovative service are the banks (i.e. for virtual banking), microfinance companies, insurance companies, Accra Metropolitan Assembly, Susu operators, National Lottery Authority, Property Rental services, and domestic airlines.

The statement said the company’s technical team works seamlessly with other technical teams to provide a feasibility study on the existing platform of its clients. IEPS will then provide a solution for integration with its data centre.

“Customers can use their Account Number/code to remit the physical cash in to a cash-safe mounted in the terminals. Terminals have built in security feature that can detect counterfeits; the system has security features for detecting fake notes. It is the sole responsibility of our partner banks to remit the various service providers as would be agreed upon,” the company stated.

It added: “EPS holds the responsibility to remit the relevant collection of each service provider into their account. The collections are the sole responsibility of the partner bank; it alone would have access to the safe. The terminals are secured as ATM and exclusive data protection/privacy of various service providers is guaranteed.”

The company says it is ready to have business discussions with any relevant business that wants to cut down cost and provide innovative means of reaching out to customers.
