Dr Omani Boamah, Minister of Communications, has reiterated Government’s commitment to supporting and empowering Ghanaian entrepreneurs to grow and create more jobs for the unemployed youth.

He noted that policies that were implemented by the Government to promote local businesses were yielding positive results.

Dr Boamah made the remarks when a delegation from Prymo Limited, producers of “One4All” mobile recharge card, called on him at his office in Accra on Wednesday.

He said Government was working hard to install more electronic communication masts in the rural areas through the Ghana Investment Fund for Electronic Communication, to provide mobile telephone service to the people.

Dr Boamah expressed the hope that the innovation by Prymo Limited would go a long way to help Government to create more jobs for the people.

Mr Abubakar Iss-Hak, Chief Executive Officer of Prymo, said the card had a unique code for recharging all the various networks, and that it also reduced the cost of printing recharge cards of telecommunication companies in the country.

He said the card could be used to recharge Airtel, Expresso, Glo and Vodafone networks, and that Tigo would be added to the list of networks next week.

In a related development, a three-member delegation from Vodafone Ghana, led by its new Chief Executive Officer, Mr Haris Broumidis, had a closed-door meeting with Dr Boamah.
